Any suggestions

This weekend I ate all kinds of fatty foods that I stopped eating since my diet and now it's Monday and I feel bad. Has anybody done this before? Any suggestions on how to get over this?

    Drink lots of water, maybe go for a run or do some yoga.

    I'd personally just write it off and keep going. We all slip up a little sometimes. I did the same thing this weekend, unfortunately. Keep looking at the big picture and don't let it bother you too much :)

    So you had a crazy weekend. It happens. Did eating those foods put you over your calories? By how much? Did it put you over your maintenance calories? If not, then you didn't do any damage at all, you just won't lose as much weight for that day.

    Honestly, one day or even one weekend isn't a big deal. You start back today doing what you're normally doing and move on. One thing you might think about though is what caused you to eat that way. Are you being overly restrictive normally?

    Just acknowledge and get back on the horse. It's Monday - You get to set the tone for the whole rest of the week today. This is one of my rules that I have incorporated. It does not matter what happened on the weekend. I eat on point and am active on Monday no matter what. It helps me stay on track through the rest of the week.

    Do you mean you feel sick or you feel guilty?

    If you feel sick, I'd recommend going back to the diet and staying away from the fatty foods that made you feel that way, or at least go easy on them.

    If it's guilt, you need to let go of self-judgement based on your food choices. You went off your plan, ate some things you hadn't intended to, and you may (or may not) have set yourself back a few days. No biggie. Sit down and figure out why it happened, and what you can do in the future to prevent it happening again. Is it because you went out to restaurants or social eating events without a plan in place? Have you restricted yourself so tightly that you felt deprived and miserable and just "had to" break out and eat the fatty food? Maybe you were bored at home and had too much tempting food in easy reach. Any of these can be easily fixed going forward.

    Sometimes I like to pre-plan a day or two after I feel like I've had a particularly out of control few days, just to help feel more in control and less stressed. You may also want to pre-plan your next weekend if you are worried this might happen again. Also, look at whether your calorie goal or "food rules" are too restrictive for you and making you feel miserable. If that's the case, you may want to try finding a happy medium where you can still lose weight and you are getting all your essential nutrients, but you have some wiggle room for foods you feel deprived without.

    Yeah I usually try to keep my calorie count to about 1200 and Saturday I ate about 2500 and Sunday about 2000. But today I got up walked 3 miles and drank alot of water. Anyways thanks for the advice

    OP said they weren't feeling well because of the eating and asked for tips yo feel better.

    As a 33 yr old male, unless you are 4 feet tall, you should be eating WAY more than 1200 calories. Plug your stats into MFP and eat up to your calorie goal while weighing and logging everything. Under-eating for any measurable period of time can lead to muscle loss, hair loss, memory problems and a host of other health issues.

    You overate over the weekend because your body needed more fuel. Please take care of yourself, and no need to feel guilty over one or two bad days. Good luck!
