Not a carb or sugar lover

if it weren't for wine, carbs and sugars wouldn't mean much to me. I don't have a sweet tooth, I have a cheese tooth.

I don't have much in the way of a mainstream "balanced"daily diet which is fine for me. I don't drink dairy ever (though I eat cheese) and if I never eat pasta again I'm fine with that. I eat a lot of salad, raw veg, eggs, chicken and beef once a week. I'm light on grains and starch.

Since this fits into my taste and not what I've made fit into a diet-does it seem to be problematic?

I'm kind of a hybrid eater too. I think it's fine.

I always worry when MFP gives me the little helpful flags underneath my diary entries. They are almost like concern trolls :)

You do have a 'balanced diet' just a little differently balanced from mainstream but to me it sounds great all round.

You have dairy in the form of cheese, got your veggies covered, protein, fats and amino acids from your eggs and all the goodies that come from meat.

I pretty much eat this way myself - although I do include fruit. I too do not eat grains or starchy vegetables of any kind. I have eaten this way for over 15 years and I have never had any problems with my way of eating.....

Love your view on the wine by the way. Cheers.

You are in luck there are not many carbs in a bottle of wine.

You're diet sounds balanced and with the salad and veg I'm sure you are getting all your macro nutrients.

You can turn those off in your settings.

Don't worry about those. Just eat whatever you want to eat.

For losing weight, you just need to make sure you're eating fewer calories than your body uses. For overall health, it looks like you've got your bases covered in your food preferences. I don't really see anything problematic.
