So a little about me. My names Danielle and I'm 24. I have been on this app before and I went from about 211lbs to 143 over a few years. Unfortunately I just started a desk job and totally fell off track. Now I'm back up to 155 and my pants barely fit :( I'm only 5ft so even 12lbs, you can really tell.

It seems so hard to lose weight now, so I want to try and count calories again. Also my motivation for exercising is so low, something I used to enjoy( sort of lol).

Anyways if anyone wants to be weight loss/accountability buddies that would be awesome.

Or if you live in the silver spring md area and want to exercise together let me know!

    Hi Danielle :]
Welcome and breathe - you can turn this situation around but remember you're beautiful already.

I'm 5'2 and started this process at around 157 pounds, so roughly around the same size as you are now. I too have a desk job and I also have a huge appetite so I was convinced losing weight was going to be impossible. I assure you, it's not. You can do this. I've lost 30lbs by eating at a sensible calorie deficit and working out 4 times a week.

My advice to you is find exercise you enjoy. You don't necessarily need to work out to lose weight but it'll make you feel confident and fit which is also really really important.

I'm assuming you've worked out your calorie allowance so stick to that number and track/weigh all your food. You WILL lose weight. As for motivation - ask yourself where you see yourself mentally and physically in 6 months time? The importance in that answer will be your motivation. Don't be afraid to reach out on the forum too - there is so much advice and support available!

    Welcome to MFP!

I'm at a different point in life (43, male), but I transitioned from a very active work to a sedentary desk job (retired from military) and packed on 60+lbs (that and continuing bad habits that I could get away with in my 20s & 30s - not so much anymore). Been on MFP for a little over a month.
