Food Scales - Two part question

Hi. I'm new to the MFP boards and have restarted logging after realizing "It's CICO, Stupid!" I've got a question about food scales. Has anyone found a scale that they can travel with? I've got a really nice one that I use in my kitchen, but with it having a glass top, I'd be leery to toss it in my travel bag. And as a piggy back on that, has anyone found a good way to weigh food when dining out? I hate to guestimate!!

Plenty of cheap chinese digital scales in various forms of plastic. http://www.smartweighscales.com/product/digital-pocket-scale-with-tare-hold-and-pcs-function-500-x-0-01-g/ for instance0

Amazon has great scales for under $15 that aren't glass. I have the Ozeri Pro.
Can't answer your second question. I over estimate to try to not miss anything.0 -
My home scale is from Amazon and was less than $15. Does not have a glass top and i could easily take it with me everywhere. But I don't. I bring my pre packed meals with me and if I go out, I just estimate. I'm not about to look like some crazy pulling out my scale in the middle of a restaurant. I also overestimate, just in case. I also realize that eating out is a splurge, regardless of what I order, so I need to be prepared that my calories won't be exact that day.0
