Never had much luck with losing weight, but apparently I'm great at finding it! I have been going to the gym for about 4 months now, but seem to be getting less and less motivated....as in I haven't stepped foot in the gym in 2 weeks. The scales haven't changed, but the mirror has a little bit... I have a cut in my triceps I've never seen before from the weight machines and free weights (I'm not big on cardio). But like I said, the motivation is gone... I'm hoping THIS might bring some more accountability to my workout, and I'm adding the calorie counter to my whole fitness thing now. Hopefully. I wanna look good for swimsuit season NEXT year since this time it creeped on by.... :)

I'm also FANTASTIC at finding weight ;)
Having said that, I am now fantastic at losing it too - MFP has helped me hugely but ultimately, I decided simply not to give up and not to lose hope. For me, losing motivation meant I'd lost sight of my goal, so it hasn't ever been an option for me to 'slip'. I'm very dedicated but that's because I've been overweight my entire life and I don't want to be that person anymore. Like I said, MFP will help with staying on track but that motivation is in you and will not fail you if you believe in yourself. I promise you can do it!

You say you've introduced the calorie counting to your plan which will absolutely help you see and feel the difference. Exercise is important for generally fitness but it's the calorie deficit that'll equal weight loss! Track what you eat and weigh your food too (so vital!) - I promise you'll see your well deserved results.

    Good luck!

I appreciate all of your replies! Yeah Im hoping calorie counting will be the "magic fix" I've been looking for, and the thing is I KNOW it will work, it's judt sticking to it. The gym became routine, and routine became boring.. and boring became complacency.
It's hard to be complacent when you have to be accountable, so I'm thankful for this good start im the MFP community:)
