Here's an easy one. I know famous last words, but really.

    Correct of course and easy.

They banned that song at our college parties due to some different lyrics. Does anyone else remember that?

    Continuing the 80s theme:

Nickname for a Don Juan type / "Committed to the task" + overheard on the golf course + modern day boy band (or regularly occurring break)

Thinking out loud to jog someone's memory.

Casanova or Heartbreaker or Ladies' Man or Lady Killer or Smooth Operator

    Dedicated
    Fore
Backstreet Boys or One Direction or N Sync or New Kids on the Block or Boyz II Men or Take That (I liked a couple songs by Take That but didn't realize they made anyone's top ten list of boy bands).

Maybe something by Tom Petty but I can't make sense of that right now. I could also have it backwards (band/song or song/band).

My thoughts out loud (but I'll still wait it out in the penalty box):
Just a Gigolo/ David Lee Roth

@deckerp : The Don Juan part is the (Canadian) band name..lead singer fond of headbands

    Song title is four words:
"Committed to the task"= 1st word
Fore = CORRECT (sort of..looking for a homophone there)
The boy band clue is a CURRENTLY CHARTING boy band = last 2 words

I'm going to assume that is correct. The Weekend is Canadian but I've never heard of them.

    Easy one.

Transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves + leader / unpleasant person =
