Ride is correct as part of the song title.
The group is pretty much the same time period/genre.
It wasn't their most popular song but still gets a fair amount of airplay on classic rock stations.
We watched a true story movie on DVD the other night and the soundtrack was a '70's rock-lovers dream. Not to mention '70's cars :D

How about B.T.O. - Let It Ride?

I watched a movie called Dick over the weekend. It's a comedy about a couple teenage girls that get messed up in the Watergate scandal. There are tons of great songs, period dress, phrases, and such.

    Yep, you got it!
It's in the movie "Invincible", the true story of Vince Papale who played with the Eagles for three seasons after walk-on tryouts in 1976.

    Here's one I didn't know until today's Top 10 At Noon on 105.7 KOKZ from November 30, 1983.

Huey Lewis & The News + Exile = [song]

This one could require some research.

Song is a 1 word synonym of the clue
Artist 1st name is the name of a character (demonic boy) from a movie.
Last name is a side menu item and also the name of a college in Texas (about 20 miles from me)

Fragile/(Cinematic demon child) + (Food or University)
    Song/Artist

I'm struggling with this because I don't watch horror movies. Maybe Malachai (Children of the Corn) or Damian (The Omen)? Not getting the song or food/university yet.

Ah ha! With lots of research.

    Delicate / Damien Rice
