    Deciphering this clue will reveal the song title, the first line of the song, and the artist

    Not what I was looking for. Searching the date will give you a particular day that is included in the song's title.
    Also, the clue gives, with a little rewording, the first line of the song.
    As well, a little broader thinking, you also get the name of the band.

    It was a Sunday according to this site. Funny that two songs by the same band might work. I had thought of that too.

    Hey You

    Definitely did some research for this one. BTO I know. Pink Floyd isn't on my playlist.

    BTO's "Hey You" used to be on the radio all of the time, back in the day. Never makes it on the air, anymore. One of my favorite BTO songs.

    @deckerp you're up.

    Speaking of never hearing on the radio anymore. I was just noticing this very popular band from the 70s and 80s that I don't hear that much anymore.

    38 Special/Fantasy Girl

    I believe I still hear "Hold On Loosely" on the radio. But, you're right; they've had a lot of hits you just don't hear anymore.

    From the Eddie and the Cruisers soundtrack.

    My wife always gets John Fogerty and John Cafferty mixed up. :)

    I bought a couple John Cafferty albums after the Eddie and the Cruisers soundtrack. The album Tough All Over was a good one. Really liked that whole album.
