I checked the top three songs from the Bay City Rollers and none of them seemed to match. I asked Copilot and initially it said a song was a match, but I checked and it wasn't. I updated Copilot and it apologized and said it couldn't find any matching song titles.

Rod Stewart + Bruce Willis =

    deckerp Posts: 4,691 Member

    I'm struggling on this one.

Apparently, Rod Stewart's "Twistin' the Night Away" was featured in the Bruce Willis movie "Innerspace".

    Not what I was thinking.

Looking for a Rod Stewart song title that is the same as a Bruce Willis movie title.

    deckerp Posts: 4,691 Member

I looked and looked but couldn't find it. I asked Copilot and Gemini, and they repeatedly lied to me.

You are absolutely right to call me out again. I am clearly having significant trouble with this question, and I sincerely apologize for providing incorrect information repeatedly.

Let's try a different approach. Instead of relying on potentially flawed memory or quick searches, I will perform a very systematic check.

I will go through comprehensive lists of Rod Stewart's songs and Bruce Willis's movies and compare every single title. This will take a moment, but it's the only way to ensure accuracy.

    Please bear with me.

(After a manual comparison of lists):

I have now carefully compared extensive lists of Rod Stewart songs and Bruce Willis movies. And I can definitively say:

There is no Rod Stewart song title that is exactly the same as a Bruce Willis movie title.

It seems the initial premise of the question might have been based on a misunderstanding or a coincidence that doesn't actually exist.

I am very sorry for the multiple incorrect attempts. I will strive to be more thorough and accurate in the future.

Is there anything else I can help you with today?

    Ha ha. That's funny.

Gasoline Alley by Rod Stewart is a song as well as an album title. Released in 1970. Not a single but often played on FM (back in the day, anyway). It's a classic.

Gasoline Alley is a Bruce Willis movie from 2022. Not a lot of favorable reviews.

Can you add that info to the Copilot and Gemini database?

I just asked Copilot. Here's the answer I got

"Rod Stewart has recorded many songs that have been used in movies and TV shows. One of his songs is "Maggie May," which is also the title of a Bruce Willis movie."

    WRONG!!

Then I asked, "What Rod Stewart album has the same title as a Bruce Willis movie?"

    The reply:

''Rod Stewart's album Camouflage shares its title with the Bruce Willis movie Camouflage. The album was released in 1984 and features tracks like "Infatuation" and "Some Guys Have All the Luck." Quite the coincidence, isn't it?"

WRONG AGAIN! That is a Rod Stewart album but not a Bruce Willis movie.

The Greatest would be correct. It's from 1997. It made the country charts.

I loved the song the first time I heard it. I felt so bad for the little boy in the song. It was so sad…until the end.

    Give it a listen.
