One of these sisters had this hit and it's always the first song I think of by her.

    Barbara + Louise + Erlene / Lonely sleeper = [artist/song]

Duh! Sleeping single in a double bed. You’re right! That song IS Barbara Mandrell!

That's the one I was looking for. I saw Louise and her husband R.C. Bannon at the county fair, decades ago.

    Assuming that is correct.

Still one of my favorites. As well as the 1941, black and white original.

    Heaven Can Wait.

    I haven't seen the original. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0035979/

IMDB says it was 1943, but who's counting?

Don Ameche is in it. I've heard he lived right here in Marion, IA years ago in a "boy's town" type situation. Not sure if that's true.

Actually, this is the original. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033712/

    "Here Comes Mr. Jordan"

Story and names are the same. But the main character is a boxer instead of a football player.

Starring Robert Montgomery. If you watch it, you'll recognize the story. Good movie!

Heaven Can Wait is the correct answer. You're up.

From the 7/17/76 AT40 countdown. It might take a little thinking and cross knowledge from TV and music.

    Kwai Chang Caine / I'm Not Hard = [artist/song]

Thinking TV and Music, I believe the actor David Carradine played the character , "Caine" on the tv show Kung Fu. That makes me think of the song Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas. But that doesn't match the artist/song.

Good thought. I hadn't thought in that direction. It was a song by the half brother of the actor who played Caine.

Can not think of his half brother's first name. (Didn't know it was his half...just thought it was his brother). Trying to think of the song. I know I have it on a '70s compilation. Trying not to cheat. Think, think, think...
