Yeah! My husband even got that one right.
OK....Seattle grunge meets Leadbelly blues = artist/song, please

The actual song is much older, but Leadbelly is famous for it ;-)

Ha! I just gave my husband my clues and he had no idea, even after I gave him the answer: "there's a parade scene?"
Doh! Did I really marry this man?? :o:D

But I have limited knowledge of grunge... :/

    Laughing so hard! ;)
I'm not a grunge follower, either. Just a good song.
Actually, my son shared it with me years ago! He was a fan.

Ferris Bueller only took a minute. I'll be worthless on Grunge though.

Nirvana's cover of "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" by Leadbelly is what @Mustang_Susie is looking for I think.

Also known as "In the Pines" when bluegrass guys do it.

I'll be out of office for the day though so if I'm correct someone else can start a new one...

Yes, "Where did you sleep last night" is correct.
My Grandpa Fox, Kentucky born & raised banjo player, always called it "In the pines".

GBrady43068 has left the building :) so the floor is open.

I'll throw out an easy one for Monday morning because it's playing right now.

    Dorothy's dog + the dark continent = [band/song]

    Toto "Africa"

    @deckerp I'm assuming I'm correct..so I'll throw out:

    Solo artist...
First Name= Not Tom or Dick
Last Name= It makes the sound of Liberty (or faux Mexican food) + that monosyllabic noise speakers often make when they don't know what to say + French way to say "Fountain" + fifth letter in
Song = Vertical movement in the 180 degree fashion

    Sorry got busy....Belafonte was correct
Song: Vertical movement = "Jump" 180 degrees is a straight "line" in geometry
Song was "Jump in the Line"
