Hi everyone,

Ok I need to vent and then once I do, I will move on! :|
I have basically been in denial for awhile now with my weight, well not really denial but avoidance, I guess in my mind if I don't know how much I weigh then it can't be that bad! So this morning I finally decided to stop avoiding the scale and get on it to see how bad it was. Well my scale kept coming up with E for error, I finally clued in that my scale must only go to 300 and I have gone over that weight limit! Not my proudest moment I must say!
So I need to do something, no more putting it off, I know I will never be skinny but I could be more healthy and that is my goal right now. I bought a Fitbit in June and wear it everyday but never reach my goal, so that is going to change!
I just need some support and friends who understand what I am going through and the stuggles that we have. I will be there to support you and hope to make some good friends in the process who can help me in my down times or my happy times!
Next July I am going on a cruise to Alaska and I don't want to be struggling to get into my airplane seat!
Please feel free to send me a friend request, I promise to be there for you as much as you will be there for me! :)
Thanks for reading my post!

Well done for getting on those scales, it doesn't have to be scary - I promise. Remember, this number doesn't define you as a person. It doesn't show your beauty or your intelligence or your quirks. It is simply a way to keep track of your weight (and not even the most reliable method!) so stop giving the scale so much power over you :]

Secondly, I'd suggest heading to your local doctors surgery and using their free scales to determine exactly how much you weigh. It's always good to have a starting weight so you can see how far and well you have done. I promise it'll be the last time you ever see that particular number, so bite the bullet and go for it.

You sound as though you have the right idea when it comes to stepping up the exercise which is brilliant! All you need to do now is track those calories, weigh your food (very important) and enjoy the process. It doesn't have to be hard and horrific - this is a real positive move so be proud of yourself. Best of luck!
