Need to eat it all?

Hello, I've been tracking for a little over a week, and MFP recommended 1400 calories per day but a lot of days I have trouble getting to that.... I'm trying not to eat if I'm not hungry. Should I try to eat something anyway? Generally I end up between 1000 and 1200. My problem is more unhealthy snacking than big appetite and I've cut out the snacking, hopefully for good....

Are you weighing every solid food on a scale, and measuring every liquid? If not, you are very likely eating more than you think.
Snacking isn't unhealthy in itself. If you like to snack, then please do, just do so in your goals. I like to snack on carrots and snap peas, and stuff. It helps me feel satisfied until lunch.0
