I saw this article yesterday and thought it was fascinating. It doesn't say anything about weight loss or fitness at all, although there may be potential impacts.

I know very little about cell biology so all of this was new to me. I especially thought it was interesting how regimented some of these functions are. like hair follicles all dividing at the same time.

TL/DR: Almost every cell in your body has an internal clock, except for embryonic stem cells, testes, and cancer cells. Researchers may have found a key protein that suppresses the function of the clock in those cells.
