Anyone experience in intentionally LOSING MUSCLE?

I know people are going to tell me i'm crazy, it slows down my metabolism.. why would you do that ?! etc etc etc.
Well, i'm looking to lose weight, get lean, toned, athletic/muscular but slim..
So I used to weight train a LOT and gained a lot of muscle mass (and weight of course), great thing, but my goals have changed and I want to lose some of it.
I know, the easiest way would be a low protein intake, higher carb intake, no weight training and starving myself..
definitely NOT looking to do that as I want to continue to be healthy and not get skinny fat.
the two areas that annoy me the most and i'd like to reduce are my thighs and butt from all the heavy squats, dead lifts, leg press i used to do and my traps > just don't like them big on a woman (personal preference)
I don't need preaching but honest advice or share of experience (former bodybuilders maybe that started to train rather like athletes or bikini competitors)
