advice for back & rotator cuff injuries?

i am walking every other day and do resistance walking in a pool. have also tried the elliptical machine. any other ideas on exercise would be appreciated. i have one good disk left after a career at the PO.

    You need to get with a physical therapist or a GOOD personal trainer. For your back you need to get your abs under your control. This does NOT mean 100 crunches a day. It means getting a good understanding of how to use them. As for the cuff, a good solid program of resistance training with light weights, bands and/or balls and you should notice some changes

    I don't really know much about this, but I do agree that you should definitely see a physical therapist. They can probably give you a good set of exercises that will help strengthen the surrounding muscles, to take as much pressure of the joints as possible. They can also give you a good list of things not to do, you might be surprised at what's aggravating your injuries. Hope you feel better! =)
