Tired of mats!

It seems like nearly every class I take at the Y involves kneeling on mats. I can't kneel; it hurts my knees. Yoga, various cardio, even kettlebells involve kneeling! Spinning is the lone exception, and I have an exerbike at home. Just ranting here . . .

I'm not sure why yoga is so much on your knees. When i teach, I rarely teach on knees, or if i do we always have blankets for extra padding. cardio onyour knees. how does one do cardio on one's knees?0
