No you are doing something right. If you initially start a diet as well as exercise it is not unusual to gain weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you need that scale motivation you are not going to get it. Instead go to the fabric store or Walmart and pick up a soft tape measure and measure your waist, hips, thighs, calves, arms and neck. If the scale isn't moving retake these measurements and you will find out you are shrinking and those numbers can be your motivation. Don't worry your doing it right. Also don't weigh so often. Once every two weeks is about right. You can become discouraged if you weight too often and the scale does not tell the whole story.

    A few days?
    And you're frustrated already?

    wow.

As for the 2lbs, that's probably water.... I'm sure it's not 2lb of added fat OR muscle.... not after a few days of exercise

Stick at it, weigh yourself after a month of healthy eating and good exercise and THEN you can complain if you're gaining ....
