Back from my hiatus

Hello! I started on here around the beginning of the year, but slipped away for some reason. I am back and determined more than ever this time. I just quit smoking on September 1, after way too many years, and so far so good. Now I want to get back in the shape I used to be in. I am tired of being as heavy as I was when I was pregnant! My grandson just turned 2 in July and I have another on the way due in March. So I want to be around for them as long as possible. I have no motivation for exercise other than walking the dog, but I am hoping to get some motivation help from here. I am still in the extreme fatigue stage of quitting smoking so I just want to lie around and rest. And eat. The increased appetite is no lie..it is all I want to do. So I am going to start monitoring my food again in hopes that it will help me see how much I am really eating. Thanks for any support given. I will take it all!

Try chewing gum or just drinking lots of water to get the appetite suppressed. Really it is not an increase in appetite it is a mental effect of certain movements. I quit smoking using vaping so my appetite did not increase because I still had the movements and simulation going on. I will say that if you can get your eating under control and start exercising a bit more the energy will come faster. Even on day where I am not fully wanting to workout once I do I feel a lot better from it.0

Welcome Back!
Congrats on quitting smoking, that's fantastic!
If walking is what you want then do it!
I Often "don't feel like" working out. Certainly helps to be checking in here and knowing others are at it too.

Hi Patty look into getting something like a FitBit if your walking it is a great incentive to get in your steps, I love mine.0

Thanks! Had some family issues last week that kept me off here..but I am determined now. I forgot to mention that I previously had hypothyroid problems that attributed to me gaining weight. But the past several times I was checked it was normal. I stopped taking the meds as I HATE taking any kind of meds. The smoking cessation is going awesome! No slips and hopefully done for ever! And the walking? Not really what I want to do..I am just trying to convince myself that I want to start exercising again like I used to. I enjoy yoga and we play on the wii fit alot and play outside. (or did before I got lazy..) I did break my leg several years back so that also slowed me down a bunch. But I know I can be in way better shape. Also not sure what a FIT BIT is but I will check on it. I told my better half I want some kind of small gym (total gym) or something for Christmas. Maybe that will help me!0
