Cardio during recovery

On Monday night, I began to walk upstairs and realized I forgot something. I thought I had only gone up one step but it was two. I came crashing down on my left leg. The top of my left thigh hurt pretty badly and I limped around for a few days. I'm pretty sure I tore/strained my hamstring. Today I am feeling better but it is sore to the touch. I know I should not do any high impact exercising yet but I am trying to find some sort of cardio to do while I continue to heal. I do not have access to a gym so I am really trying to find something that I can do at home that will get my heart rate up. Any thoughts?

Yes...rest! I know that's is not what you wanted to hear but it really is the only answer. Soon as you're all healed up start back. It's better to rest now for a couple of days than prolong or exacerbate an injury and be out of the game for much longer.

Don't be as stupid as me !!! I only screwed up my ankle and tried to keep up my half training and really damaged the ligaments and now 4 months later with physio I am still struggling to get my running back. Rest rest rest !!!! Get to a physio they will have a better idea of what you can and cant do. Long term not short term

Youve injured yourself your focus should be on healing. If you want to be foolish then you will try and do soemthing and risk making it worse and being out for longer. You will know when its possible i.e when it stops being sore and then you should try a gradual reintroduction. If its not improved by next week then you should consider going to the Dr or physio if you have one.
