Nutrients/macros

Hi,
I just joined today and I'm looking for advice. My default settings show:
Carbs: 50% - 150g
Fat: 30% - 40g
Protein: 20% - 60g
My goal is to lose weight predominantly and then tone up. Do these guidelines match up with what I'm trying to achieve?
Many thanks

Well I struggle to lose weight with a lot of carbs in my diet. But some people don't. And a lot of people would say up your protein.
Have you tried to lose at those macro recommendations you already have? If so, stick to it until you find you are no longer progressing (either toning, losing inches, or losing pounds on the scale). If you are not losing and it's been a while, try lowering to 100g of carbs and upping protein to around 80g and the fat can be what's left.0 -
That default macro ratio is working just fine for me.
I am eating closer to 1400 calories, though, rather than 1200. I'd rather be comfortable and lose weight more slowly than to lose quickly but stay hungry.0 -
Thanks both for your replies. emhunter I'll definitely give that a try0
