Are YOU a Neanderthal???

So a girlfriend of mine, who is a blonde, fair-skinned, twin, decided to have her DNA checked through one of the popular testing sites available online. She finally got her results back and it broke down fairly the way she expected....lots of Northern European lineages (she's essentially a big ol' mutt like many of us)...but she was also 2.8% Neanderthal.

Now I suppose MANY of us will have that heritage (and yes, I'm ordering my kit now....my Dad is adopted, so this should be fun!) but it's just kinda cool to see it go back like that. The heritages are getting more and more accurate as more and more DNA is being added to the system. I try not to think too much about the Big Brother, apocalyptic uses for all that genetic information, but finding out if my Cro-magnon forebearers got jiggy with a Neanderthal, should be interesting!
