After a lifelong battle with obesity, I'm finally succeeding. When I started this journey in December 2012, I had no hopes whatsoever that I'd succeed. How could I feel differently? I had more than 30 years of historical proof that I was a failure when it came to my weight. When you fail time and time again, you condition yourself to expect failure. However, even though my journey has been plagued with setbacks, injuries, and plateaus (the worst lasting 16 months), I've been successful. My journey has been paved with learning experiences and my life has improved exponentially. I did this for myself, but one of the biggest - and best - surprises of my success has been motivating other people by just walking in. Those who knew me as a 300-lb. woman now flock to me, desperate to know how I did it. At the urging of many people, I recently created a blog about my journey and I'm told it's very motivating. If you're interested in reading about my story, here's my blog: "blossomingvilma.blogspot.com" My hope is to help others succeed, too. Maybe people can take away something I've learned along the way that will help them, too. Whatever path you take to lose weight and get healthier, good luck to you!
