Contraceptive and weight gain

I've had great weight loss prohress and then decided to insert the implamon. The weight loss suddenly became harder and moods worse! Anyone else experience the same?

    Yes. First time gained weight it was due to the pill. It increases hunger. It also makes you moody. I had a doctor joke that it was effective due to weight gain, bad moods and loss of libido. Personally I don't think it's medically safe - but I'll wait for the research to show it- just like it has with HRT.

    Implanon was the worst for me. I had depression, irregular bleeding, loss of libido and 10kg weight gain to boot.
