My food scale has sadly broken but while I wait for my new one to come in, do I measure Greek yogurt in a dry or liquid measuring cup? Thank you.

Aren't they the same? Not sure if I'm understanding correctly ... A cup is a cup, whether measured in a single measuring cup or a "liquid" measuring cup.

Okay I never heard of a wet measuring cup or a dry measuring cup so I had to google it. Apparently I own and use both - just never knew they had a name! LOL!! But it looks like you could use either according to the article I read but I'd probably go with the dry based on the final part of the article.

A dry one. I have been trying to teach my boyfriend to use the liquid one for liquids! He didn't know there is a difference.

Thanks! I'm not a cook, never have been, and thought they were the same. I have both kinds, like in their picture, so now I shall proceed to use them correctly in the future. :)

Anything that you need to scrape off to level, you use dry. ;)

As we talk about weighing vs measuring so much on other threads, I got a kick out of this from your link:

"So is the DRY measuring cup accurate? Not exactly. It is definitely more accurate over the WET measuring cup. But the only true way to get an accurate reading on dry ingredients is by weight (using a kitchen scale). Americans are one of the few to actually still be using cups as a measurement in baking…the rest of the world is using grams or ounces to measure out their dry ingredients."
