Why do you want to hide it from your family?

If your loss is a healthy one, I am sure your family would support you, even if you don't feel that way now. Feel free to send me private messages if you don't want to engage on a public forum.

If you might be suffering from anorexia or another eating disorder, I'd try to get some help. See the recent success story thread by someone who was anorexic who recovered.

Forgive me if I have anorexia on the brain, I just got some very bad news about someone I know who was struggling with it, and your post immediately made me go there. Obviously your situation could be different. But your profile photo suggests that it's at least as likely that you have wrong reasons for losing weight as that you have good reasons.

If that's you in the picture my guess is losing a few pounds would be nearly unnoticeable to family, they see you often I assume, won't notice a gradual change.

Immediate red flag. Why are you trying to hide it from your family?
