Has any one tried chocolate flavored protein powder in coffee? I am wondering if it would taste like a mocha.

I haven't had success with adding protein powder to hot coffee. The heat does something to the composition of the powder that's not good.

On the other hand, cold/room temperature coffee in a shaker cup with ice and a scoop of protein is awesome. I drink it all of the time.

I drink it with iced coffee which is good but have not tried it with hot coffee and don't plan to do so. My protein also contains probiotics, prebiotics and chia seed and I am afraid the heat might destroy those qualities.

YES. I have been doing it every day for like two weeks now.

Here's the thing, casein has worked much better than whey. You can stir it, but it is also nice if you have a little whisk. It is so sweet and lovely. You don't need any milk or sugar and it is creamy and...yes. It's my new thing.

I've been using the ON chocolate deluxe or supreme casein powder. Makes a great protein fluff too.

For a black coffee drinker, this sounds gross.

I make extra coffee in the mornings so I can put one serving in the refrigerator for the next morning for my early gym time. I mix chocolate (or vanilla) protein powder with this cold coffee for an energy boost. Plus , the caffeine helps my muscles warm up quicker (I have auto immune issues which manifests itself as inflammation and muscle tightness. The caffeine helps me). The mixture doesn't taste too badly.

I also mix protein powder with plain greek yogurt and add a little honey or monk fruit sweetener. This really packs a protein punch - close to 30 grams in one sitting which helps me as I never seem to get enough protein each day.

What is protein fluff? Like marsh mellow fluff? Recipe please.

It's a fluffy mixture of casein protein powder, some kind of liquid, and helped along with xanthan gum. There are all different ways you can make it based on those three components. Mine are typically lower in calorie than these ones, but I use it when I'm in a deficit and want volume.
