Once opened, how many days are they good for in fridge?

Thank you for the link to google. "Couple of days or so" could really be any number which is why I was asking on MFP to see how long other people found it stayed fresh for them.

Hmm. I've had cans of beans opened for a week in the fridge. Might consider pitching them (I use covers on them, but still). In my mind it's still good as long it doesn't have mold on it LOL.

    This.

I remove them from the can and store them in Tupperware instead. If they look/smell/taste fine and aren’t a weird texture, they are good to go for me.

I try to use up any canned food within 4 days. I've gone this long with chick peas and lots of other foods and it's perfectly good. After that it starts to get a stronger smell and the liquid seems a bit slimy.

Perhaps close to a week, in a good cold refrigerator, stored in a tight container (I transfer from the can to a glass dish with a snap-tight plastic lid, leaving the liquid from the can on the beans). In general, beans start to smell "off" when they start to go. You can also stick them in the freezer to keep a bit longer, though they may be just a bit softer after thawing.

An open can of beans never lasts long here. Toss whatever is left in the can on top of some salad, add tuna, and enjoy.

In my experience, you'll know when they shouldn't be used anymore. There is a particular smell and a bit of a film that develops on them. I think a few days and up to a week is fine though, depending on how you're storing them.
