Got a sweet deal at work $5 for 15kg raw frozen chicken mini drums. I'm thinking about thawing it all out, marinade n cook them, then freeze in meal portions. I will probably throw some on the barbecue, some in the crockpot n the rest in the oven.
Apart from lemon or sweet chilli marinade, I got nothing.
I prefer not to use soy sauce. Any other marinade ideas would be much appreciated thank you

Mix a tablespoon of oil with a teaspoon of turmeric and a grind of black pepper. I love this and it makes them go a lovely colour.

Mix oil again with some garlic salt and some parsley.

Mix oil again with smoked paprika and a ground down chicken stock cube.

You really can get creative with anything you like, the key is to leave the marinades on over night to let the flavours penetrate the meat.
  • Thank you both so much! I just went blank lol. I need to stock up on spices for moments like these

I asked some friends at work, and someone mentioned balsamic vinegar. Apparently the flavour goes right through the meat.

Honey mustard or jerk seasoning are some of our favorites other than bbq
