Question about Weight Lifting calorie burning on myfitnesspal

I lift weights mostly for strength training, but I noticed that there was a cardiovascular exercise listed for weight lifting. I entered the amount of minutes I expected to lift and it was say 350. Is this overly generous? Is there an amount of calories that should be subtracted for this for a rule of thumb?

    Yes, very.

Don't bother trying to calculate the calories for strength training... there are too many variables which affect the burn.

You can still log it in. However be very cautious of high burn rates. If you are going by the TDEE method I don't think it will make a difference as long as you get the exercise in.

Calorie burn from lifting is notoriously, and disappointingly, low. I never even messed with it even before I went to TDEE.

Sounds like it is more trouble than its worth.
