Dominate vs Non-Dominate

When I set up my Charge HR I set mine to Dominate hand, however, I am now on the Non-Dominate hand what difference does this make on my steps? Yesterday I achieved over 11,000 steps can I be sure this is accurate?

I always put my Fitbit and other devices like that on my non-dominant arm and set them to dominant to lower sensitivity. Then I was more certain it wasn't counting ghost steps.0
