Afternoon all, I am a 63 year old lady who's retired. I'm sure there must be others like me out there who have a similiar lifestyle. Along with my husband we split our time in UK and our house in France. It's while we are in France I have the greatest difficulty keeping to my calories. While in UK I don't have the temptation of baguettes, pate + cheeses as well as the wine! We do try to keep it to a minimum I only cook from my Rosemary Conley cookbooks for dinners. I do exercise at present it's painting + wallpapering one of the bedrooms. Any tips would be very welcome!

You sound like you have the life we all dream of!! Lucky you!! Only tip I can give, is make it very important to you...the food (cheese, pate, wine etc) will only climb into your mouth if you allow them too....But to answer your question, to me, ANY loss is a good one, unless it's muscle loss! You can do this! xo

I'd say bread cheese pate & wine sounds perfect, all I would think about is, is the amount of bread you eat and then try to cut out all other carbs = job done :-)

I think that any loss is a good loss' so I took what I could get. She looked at me with big brown eyes and said, “You ain't seen nothing yet B-B-B-Baby, you just...

Sorry, I don't know why the title triggered that song but it will be stuck in my head this morning so I thought I would share.

My first piece of advice would be to add a piece of fruit ,or better yet a vegetable, to every snack/meal. My second piece of advice would be to start using MFP (if you are not already) to log all your food so you can see what you are eating!

Don't the French do pretty well on weight management? Perhaps take up their activity levels?

    Or their wine? >:)
