Vascularity - function of diet/muscle adds or ?

I have been basically in body recomposition for 4 months. Weight will creep up a few pounds then back down a few. Losing a pound or two a month.

I have lifted heavier and made sure to get adequate protein, 1 gram per pound.

I have been noticing increased vascularity. Does it become noticeable more from gradual fat loss or do muscles get more vascular as they are pumped and gain more endurance?

It is slow for sure. Over a few months is has become noticeable. If anything it makes one look more lean even when the scale has not moved much.

Thanks.

    I think it's a combination of BF% and genetics.
  • BF % has recently finally gotten into the 12% number consistently on my body comp scale.

    Interesting about genetics.

    Ok

All three, BF, genetics and pump.
Had vascular forearms when younger (15yrs) without working out <-genetics dictated the number of surface veins
As I've lost weight they have become more noticeable/pronounced <- loss of BF
When I'm lifting they pop out even more <- da pump
