My husband seems to be jealous of me losing weight , is it just me ?
I thought it was gonna be the opposite , how was your partners reaction after your success ?

Deep down inside, most people close to you will be jealous if you achieve what they may not be able to. Basic human nature. They won't tell you to your face though.

Some men do not like change in their home life. Give him time. I
For now find some one else to talk to about your achievements.

I thought it would be quite the opposite. Seeing some of these amazing transformations my impressions have been the husband or boyfriend is thinking- Man this is like Christmas.Score! Seeing how the MFP women (and men) radiate with such a self -confidence this could only be (I thought) quite a relationship booster distilling itself into all areas of one's coupledom - from kitchen to the bedroom so to speak. Sorry to hear this isn't happening. For us it's the opposite. My wife loves it when I trim down and when she loses and puts on a skirt or jeans and heels and walks proudly to the car to get groceries or go off to work I'm happy as a clam and feel giddy as a teenager looking at her shape. Her mental attitude is a complete turn on as it translates into the way she carries herself and for me that is gold.0

He's actually very supportive because the happier I get with my body, the happier I am generally and more I walk around naked. He compliments me on new changes he sees and he's proud of how fit I am. I think part of the reason he doesn't feel jealous is that he has confidence in himself and our relationship. He's not afraid I'm going to bail on him for the guys doing muscle-ups shirtless at gym. And he's fine with how he looks physically. He's thin and has tried to bulk in the past but it's not a priority for him right now.0

Yes.. beware of the loving sabatoge of a mate who sees you changing for the better… nothing malicious. just human nature.0

Thanks for all replies
It's sad for me maybe he really just needs time
I don't get it he told me that losing weight would make me feel awesome when i mentioned it to him and now this ?!
Hes amazing in all other things our life is beautiful but lately i feel he doesnt compliment me and doesn't even notice anything ...0 -
Is he at a healthy weight? Maybe he is feeling a bit insecure or uncertain about how this will affect your relationship? Maybe he needs reassurance?0

Seems immature and selfish to me, to not support and encourage your partners healthy goals. I'm sorry (s)he isn't on board with your awesome train.0

My partner prefers it, and he let it slip that he really does prefer it. I don't blame him.0

Is it because he lacks confidence in himself? That's my personal previous experience. Maybe he's slightly insecure and you looking amazing threatens him.0

Yes he is definitely not fit and older than me but it confuses me because he has said in the past that it would be nice if i could lose a bit .0 -
I absolutely had that issue. For years I dealt with his sabotage. He would get upset about the time I needed to be at the gym instead of deciding to come with me. He would constantly bring crap foods into the house and eat in front of me. He wouldn't compliment me as my body changed. We ended up divorcing because I decided my health had to be my priority. I now know after conversations with him that he felt very threatened. He was afraid that as I got healthier, more active and more attractive others would desire me and I would leave.
You need to have a long talk. Or maybe even go to counseling if you want to get healthy and stay together so you can figure out what is going on under his sabotage.
Be strong. You are doing this for you. It is important!!0 -
Maybe work out in front of him??? And put on a catchy dance song...you know the kind that NO ONE can ignore???? I promise you'll start to notice is foot tapping...then a little leg bouncing...maybe some head nodding and before you know...he's up!! Loving life...fitness and his wife!!!0
