Ranting and Raving- not really (^^,)

So, I am just curious, since new here, if anyone else has had the self-image problem. And not a "yes" answer, but I believe it may help everyone if people were willing to share their thoughts, perceptions, ways they have overcome or steps getting there. I have begrudgingly accepted my outward appearance, but by no means does it define me. I wholeheartedly believe that this could benefit everyone to fully realize it is not the exterior that makes us great, but the interior. Be confident, regardless if you have a little, a lot or none to lose (weight/fat/other-wise). Stay close to those who understand you, respect you, and believe in you. Avoid the nay-sayers and superficial lots with their preconceived notions! I would ask everyone to 'try' to remember, how you are (externally) does not correlate to who you are (internally) and remembering just how great of a person you are will always help to overcome those negative moments. Well, for me at least, hey Al Franken was right "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me". And if you don't, who needs that negativity in their life! Good luck and kick some fat!

wise words. I dont have much time for superficial people and those who want me to be someone else and cant accept me for me. I never let those people bring me down. I have and always will make changes for me and my son to make us happier not as a reaction to some hurtful comment or action from a negative person. I always remember, people who try to bring you down are already below you and they can stay there while we continue to move forwards.
