I have been taking green tea extract, l - arginine and l - glutamine which combined suppresses my appetite way too much I believe. I'm not hungry but I am also drinking two protein shakes a day.. which helps me stay full and taking bcaas during workouts. My goal they have set for me on this app is 1400 calories. Each workout I do burns 400-600 and I end up with a total of 1200 calories I eat a day... is that too few to lose weight? It has been almost a week of dieting and strickly watching my food i am eating and the scale has not moved....

There is no such thing as eating too few calories to lose weight.
  • A week is too short to tell. You fluctuate daily. Could be many things. Wait and see. But if you are working out and burning, you should be eating a bit more. If you find it's suppressing your appetite too much, why are you still taking it?

One week? It took me 5 months to lose the last 20 pounds with careful logging. You are going to need patience and precise logging.

If it only took a week, everyone would be thin.

How many calories are in your protein shakes? What are bcaas? Are you eating any actual food? If so, how much? How many 400-600 calorie burn workouts are you doing a day or week, and what are you doing to burn that many calories?

That said (or asked), a week is way too short of a time period to assess weight loss. Especially if you just started the 400-600 calorie burns - your muscles will retain water. Have patience and it will come.
