Figure Competition

My goal is to compete in my first Figure Comp. this year. No, my body is not sculpted yet and no, I have not purchased my outfit..but yes, I've begun the hardest part changing the way i think, eat, drink, and exercise. Current wt 135 lbs - goal 115 lbs - Competition Date - OCT 2013. Looking for leg and back sculpting tips.

How exciting! I also decided to train for my first NPC competition. I am gearing for March 2014. I will compete in bikini, despite my short hair and lack of surgical enhancements. :-) Bodybuilding.com has some great articles and workout programs. Check it out!

AWESOME!!! im hoping to compete next year in my first comp. For sculpted legs do some front squats, they can be hard for some but that is the fastest way to get the tear drop on your calves.

Nice to see another bodybuilding competitor. As for sculpting your legs.. you can't sculpt them or change the shape of your muscle it's genetically set. If you want to build up your back and calves you have to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle. The common misconception is that you can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. As a natural athlete you have to focus on either muscle building or fat loss. Good luck on your comp :)

I am entering my first Bikini Competition November 2, 2014 through the INBA. I have been working hard on my body and have lost over 41 inches already. I also have no surgical enhancements and I have short hair also, but I am going to wear a fall wig that covers just the back of the head so that I am using my own bangs and blending in with the wig. It will also be interesting to see what they think of my tattoo's. I have called the INBA and they said that they don't care about tattoo's, but mine are pretty extensive. Knowing that I have a competition keeps me in the gym and working hard and it's something I enjoy whether I win or not. I feel I have won just by gaining my health.
  • Thanks for the tip!!! I'm such a dork...still trying to get used to doing something beneficial & motivating like reading post here instead of Facebook. LOL I will have to learn how to do the front squats..thank God for You Tube.
