My name is Aani and I am 29 years old. This is my story.
I am regular to gym for the past 2 years and have always lived an active life but never focused on consumed calories. Because of this reason, I have struggled with my weight all my life. I have never been excessively obese but I have gone through phases where my belly inflated like a balloon which is very embarrassing.

In August this year, I gained back weight which I had lost in the last 18 months (5 kg/ 11 pounds).
(Of course, muscle mass and body fat percentage had differed instead of weight gain.)
I was furious because even if my body had transformed dramatically, my waist line was just the same or worse. Anyone who pumps up iron can understand my frustration at that time.

I came across my fitness pal app as I was trying to find why it happened.
I started following my daily dietary goals from the app and guess what, it just took 31 days to lose 4.5 kg/10 pounds. Now, I was already doing my workouts (for last 18 months-4 times/week) so all I needed was to control my overeating. It is true that body transformation takes place in the kitchen.

The food that we eat reflects on our bodies. Now there are many factors other than just food which affects body weight but it was the major factor for me.

Losing weight helped me to reduce my waist line and I can see a glimpse of my abs. My dream is to develop my abs (beach body) but I was never sure I can achieve it but now I have this belief that with the right workout and good nutrition, I can do it. Lets see!

Ahh yes. Your story is similar to mine. I wasted periods in my life and all of last year being lightly active at the very least, but my eating habits kept me overweight. Calorie counting has been the one thing that helped me finally lose the weight. I agree 100% that "the food that we eat reflects on our bodies." I know you'll get those abs in due time. :)
