MFP and Flex possibly not syncing?

I use a Flex and MFP. On the flex, if I don;t enter the exercise, it doesn't show on the "dashboard" it says no exercise logged, though it does record the steps and active minutes. How do I get MFP to automatically log exercise on my Flex. Thanks Kat
