not one LB gone :(

I'm mellissa, been doing mfp for 26 days straight, no weight loss yet.... I joined the gym in the middle of july, been super consistent! Really frustrating cause I life weights a bunch but MFP doesn't give you more calories for that. I'm wondering if I'm maybe not eating enough calories for the workouts I'm doing?? I'm just pushing on...always looking for friends & support!!

Super frustrating. How many calories are you eating a day? Do you measure with a food scale? When you work out, do you use a heart rate monitor? Try to make sure you aren't underestimating your calories consumed and overestimating your calories burned.

If that's not the problem, maybe it's the type of foods your consuming? Eating certain foods make it more difficult for some people to lose weight. Also alcohol can make it hard too. If you even drink.

Are you weighing your food with a food scale? Are you accurately logging everything?

IMO, it's never a case of "not eating enough calories for the workouts your doing". If that were the case, you'd be losing a ton of weight and be heading into malnutrition and injury territory. It's more likely a case of you're eating more than you think you are. Put away the measuring cups/spoons and start weighing your food.

What do you have your activity level set as? How many times a week are you going to the gym? How long are those sessions? Are you guessing on some of your calorie entries?

Eating too little doesn't stop weight loss. It creates a situation where you could possibly lose lean mass and fail to provide your body with proper nutrition.

I'm eating 1500 a day, I'm 218 lb. I use a scale, measuring cups & spoons. The weight sessions are pretty intense, just had 2 new ones done... I was doing the nautalis machines for abt 2 mths. MFP doesn't add in anything for weight training, only for the cardio 2 min. blasts I do during the weight sets.... I have my calorie set as sedentary lifestyle because I'm an EMT so most of the day I am sitting. My work out sessions are usually an hour.. I don't use a heart monitor but I'm always out of breath...I have a trainer that set up mu programs & he knows I'm trying to lose weight so everything is done fast paced... Maybe I just need to be patient. Sometimes I go over my calories by maybe 100....not too much tho. I'm still learning the food thing..lol I go to the gym 4 days a week

Sounds like you are doing everything right. Have you eliminated alcohol? Have you checked to see if you have any medical conditions? PCOS and insulin resistance make it very difficult to lose if you are consuming carbs and proteins. Do you have an idea of what your basic meals are like each day? Also can you up your water?
