Why is better to get your carbs from fruit rather than bread?

    Says who?

They're both yummy. I wouldn't make a sandwich with fruit holding it together, and I wouldn't chop up bread for a smoothie.

    They each have their place.

    :)

In terms of naturally occurring micronutrients, I would say that fruit carbs are better than bread carbs. Bread is usually fortified with vitamins. You could take a multi and probably get more.

I find it easier to overeat on bread than fruit, so that would alos swing my vote to fruit.

As it is, I avoid both because they're both glucose to my body.
