Hello all! I wanted to explain my journey in hopes of finding likeminded MFPs. I view MFP as a way to ensure that I am consistent with my diet. I have been all over the board with weight and size throughout my life and I am trying to reduce to a size that is sustainable as I age. I don't believe in using the BMI, because it's inaccurate. A lot of people don't know this, but it was created in the early 1900s by a mathematician to study sedentary people. I am far from sedentary, I walk dogs for a living and enjoy pushups and weight lifting. I need to lose weight though, because with the weight I carry around, my joints are going through too much stress. I also want to make sure that I am consistent in my eating habits. I have caused myself undo stress by eating too much and then under-eating, slowing down my metabolism. I have healthy stats, according to my doctor, but I would like to wear smaller clothes. I currently can only wear really ugly bras and can't find a bra in my size at a regular department store. My goal right now is to 3 inches off my waist and to go down to a DDD bra. I don't believe in doing anything self-deprecating or shame based when it comes to reducing. I don't think it works. I would like to focus on becoming the healthiest me I can through daily steps. It's a long term thing, and I'm in it to win it. Please add me if you like anything I said. I need more allies!
