cracks and pops!

When ever I walk on the treadmill or even around my neighborhood I hear my body cracking! Mostly it is coming from my knees, but some of it is around my shoulder area. Is this normal? It is consistent the entire workout...doesn't really hurt. Just concerned and if there is anything I can do for it.

    I don';t know but I snap, crackle and pop when I walk too.

    My knees grind when I do leg exercises like lunges. It never huts, but it sure sounds awful! I took glucosamine for a little while, but it didn't seem to make much of an improvement. My guess is that once my body gets used to the activity (aka., muscles surrounding noisy bones) will get stronger and maybe the bones/cartilage will too. (I'm not a doctor or nurse....could you tell? ; ) )
