has anyone found that by exercise (mainly walking, swimming and gardening) and losing weight (lost one and a half stone + now - stone to go) they have cured osteoarthritis in knees

Not a cure but losing weight and strengthening muscles should both result in reduced symptoms.0

it does not cure but it can help because of regular use and strengthening of the muscles around the joint giving it support0
