Knee sleeves for sport

Options
I dislocated my left patella twice many years ago. (8-10).
It's been unstable since.
I want to start martial arts again and I'm wondering if some kind of
knee sleeve exists in order to reinforce the lateral movement of the patella.

I've seen on youtube that you can tape it up using 2 inch tape, but that tape seems expensive (long term) and kind of annoying to do.

I'd see a doctor for a proper brace recommendation instead of going to rhs supercenter ot amazon and getting something at random.

    Good luck

If you have an orthopedics doctor or physical therapist near you that specializes in sports medicine, see if you can get in with them.

There is these Copper fit sleeves. I don't know much about them. All I know is that it helps relieve and prevent pain and help me workout without straining my muscles. I have Patella femoral pain syndrome (no cartilage in between my patella and femur so I know what you're talking about. I would ask GNC if they have any or know where to get them. Mine was gifted to me so idk where to get them.

See a physio about taping - it is very effective but you need to learn to do it right and I wouldn't recommend YouTube for learning this!
