In my other thread it was suggested that since I am within 20lbs of my goal weight I switch from 2lb weightloss per week to .5lbs per week. The idea of switching to such a small deficit scares me so I'm thinking of switching to 1lb per week. I currently have my setting to sedentary, however with my fitbit synced I typically end up with 500-900 extra calories per day, my step count is usually around 12,000 steps...Should I be setting it for lightly active or sedentary still?

Also I should say that myfitbit average TDEE is 2922, but I think it is actually closer to 2700 when I compare weightloss to it...

It should be set for sedentary, with negative calorie adjustments enabled. The extra calories Fitbit gives you are your's to keep.

I set mine to sedentary. (I work from home and if I don't make an effort with steps, I get about 2200 steps.) The Fitbit has been pretty accurate. It racks up extra calories and I feel like I'm really earning what I eat.
