I was here last year after going through surgery for thyroid cancer. I had put on so much weight that I needed to make some changes. I ended up losing 30 lbs through diet and exercise but became so exhausted because I was rushing my recovery. I am sure anyone here with thyroid issues can vouch for how tired and dizzy it can make you feel.

I have since taken a step back and have allowed my body to tell me when it's ready. It has taken almost a year but I am feeling more and more myself :) I have put 8 lbs back on but I don't find that to bad in a one year timeframe considering I ate whenever and what ever I wanted.

Now to get back at it :)

My SW was 285lbs
CW is 258lbs
GW is 195lbs

Please feel free to add me. I am looking for others to admire and look up to. To talk about my struggles when I face them, to get and provide motivation to people who are or were in my shoes.

Kari :)
