The difference between BMR and TDEE?

My BMR is around 2100 and my TDEE is about 2500. Forgive me for sounding slow, but what is the difference between the two? Based on these numbers, how many calories should I eat daily? A little iffy about putting my stats on here, but I'm hoping these numbers help. :)

    BMR = calories you burn doing nothing. TDEE = Calories you burn including your daily activities/exercise.

    If you want to lose weight, you should eat something under your TDEE. Different sources will give you different advice, but going more than 20-25% under your TDEE calories has some risks like more muscle loss.

    I find it easier to just let MFP determine my net calories for X lbs a week of loss and go with it.

    I am sure someone can explain it in more detail, but that is the basics.

    Thanks for replying, however I thought your BMR asks about and considers your daily activities as well? Whether it's sedentary, lightly active, extremely active, etc.? Or is that something different?

    That is NEAT. BMR+ regular daily activity.
    TDEE = BMR+NEAT+ exercise.

    Hope that helps.

    And just to clarify the acronyms:
    BMR = basal metabolic rate
    NEAT = non exercise activity thermogenesis
    TDEE = total daily energy expenditure.
