Here's Pippin, my hiking buddy, up at a mountain lake last weekend. He's too slow to run with me but does all the hikes. The short legs don't hold him back much.

    He's a Cardigan Corgi.

I'm on the app. How do I post pics?
Got a 9 year pomeranian, Puppy, and a 3 year throwback pomeranian, Monster.
Can't go on crazy walks cause it's too hot for Monster and he's solid black. So the sun directly on him is not good.
Puppy has a slipped disc in his back, broken trachea and in the process of congested heart failure.
So hiking and brisk walks are out of the question. I wait till evening after dinner and let all three out, cat included, off the leash to go walking around the pasture for 15 minutes at their own pace.
Monster likes to run laps and race the cat, while Puppy waddles around then stops and sits down, then gets up and waddles some more.
Just that 15 minutes after dinner, even 15 early in the morn, as made a big difference in their health.
Puppy, he's lost weight and is very rambunctious now. He's in great condition for the medical issues he has.
Looking forward to February cause that's Monster's vet appointment and I'm hoping to hear weight loss. I know he had to of lost weight, had to tighten his collar a few days ago.
And while I'm outside walking, I do stretches and casual core twists for my abs.

    O. M. G. He is spectacular. What a beauty. All of these dogs are wonderful, but as a Corgi nut, I turn into a puddle of goo over corgis, especially Cardi's.

I'd like to do yoga with my two old guys, but the little one (chihuahua terrier mutt) just sits on the couch and watches me, and the big one (Chow mix mutt) tries to get me to pet him and then sleeps on my big mat, getting in my way :)

But what is so cool is that the big guy does his own yoga after me (on my mat!). I am completely serious. If you've ever seen the pose called Old Dog, it's a pose he does on his own, the old dog that he is. That's his favorite. Then he does a purely doggie stretch with all 4 paws up in the air for a while, but still. It's his yoga time and he loves it! He won't ever let me get a picture of him doing it, though. I've tried and he always gets up and comes to me, the silly guy.

He gets out of habit if I ever do, so it's extra incentive for me to keep up with my sessions, lol.
