not tracking calories with the app and just 'winging it' - anyone had success with this?

I wing it on amounts, putting them on the plate without worrying what they weigh, but once they're on the plate, I check the weight and jot it down. At the end of the day (or the next day), I log it all.
When I'm done losing, I'm going to work really hard on learning to eat like regular, healthy people do, without the obsessiveness of weighing. The plan is to cease weighing entirely.
Weighing Forever is a great plan for those who think they will never stop doing it, but I'm not one of those people. It feels obsessive to me and is annoying. I want to cook the way I normally did. I want to toss in however much looks good, you know?0
